Sunday brunches are always a fun activity
that we always look forward to every weekend. It’s a perfect time to spend with
our families to have good food with good company over good conversations,
catching up with one another after a busy week.
While we are always on the lookout for good
brunch spots, Sophie Authentique is the one place that we always love to come
back to! Located in South Jakarta, Sophie Authentique is a bakery-slash-café
that provides pastries, cakes, great coffee, as well as a wide variation of
brunch menu that just makes you drool!
It isn’t every day that you come across a
bakery that serves everything homemade with Sophie’s own recipe. With friendly
interior, cozy atmosphere, natural lighting, filled with wooden furniture in
the white and navy color scheme that makes you feel like you’ve been
transported to a café in Paris for a short while.
Our favorites at Sophie Authentique are
Sophie’s special recipes; such as Canelé, which is a sweet caramelized cake on
the outside with vanilla custard in the middle, and Croque Madame; which is a
traditional oven baked sandwich filled with French cheese and ham, laced with
homemade béchamel sauce topped with a sunny side up egg!
