Just when you think your high school days are a drag, this movie will surprisingly enlighten you. Bianca Piper, portrayed by Mae Whitman, is going through what every other teenage girl goes through: insecurity over her looks. She encounters this insecurity when her neighbor, childhood friend, and the school’s football star, Wesley Rush (played by Robbie Amell) compares her to her two best friends and calls her The DUFF a.k.a The Designated Ugly Fat Friend. Meanwhile, she also has to deal with Madison Morgan, played by Disney star Bella Throne, who accused her of getting close with Wesley Rush ever since they started a mutual deal. Funny, entertaining, and sending a positive message to young individuals sums up this teenage movie.

If you’ve seen the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which tells a story about a man whose age reverses, this movie also involves age anomalies. Adaline Bowman, played by the Gossip Girl starlet Blake Lively, lived a normal life until the day she died from a car accident. She then was brought back to life by a struck of lightning, which then changed her genes, causing her to stay 29 years old forever. This would be the dream of every female species; not experiencing physical changes due to ageing. She then encountered troubles because of the suspicion from everyone around her, which made her jump from city to city. After living in Oregon for  a while, she met a man, that changed her perspective on love. Just when she decided to settle in, she uncovers a distressing fact about her past that comes back to the present time.

Getting married with the perfect man, in the perfect dress, with the perfect setting is what every girl is dreaming of. But what happens when a detail of your wedding is still unsolved? What happens when your groom has no best man (7 best man to be precise)? Doug Harris, played by Josh Gad, had to turn his head around and figure out how to find 7 best man with attractive looks and can be at the wedding in less than 7 days. The comedy of Kevin Hart, that played the best man, adds a general common sense of humor into the rom-com movie. This rom-com movie directed by Jeremy Garelick is not another installment of girl and boy romance, but leading into the era of bromance.

Catchy tunes, newer songs, and a new Barden Bella member, this movie is one of the highly anticipated instalment. Just after 3 years of the first movie, Anna Kendricks, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, and the rest of the Bellas are back pitching their a-capella girl power. Watching this movie gives you a familiar plot line as the first one, however including new characters into the movie serves a more refreshing cast. Going up against international a-capella groups, the girls are fighting back to regain their honor, and even more, world domination. John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks are also back with even more humorous remarks after each a-capella performances.
